Marion Jones, triple gold-medal winner at Sydney 2000, has finally admitted she was on steroids in ther run-up to the Games.


Since she's been married to two different drugs cheats, and for much of her career was being coached by the man convicted for doping his athletes, the only surprise here is that she bothered trying to keep it covered up for so long. Now she's facing a jail sentence for having lied to federal officials who were investigating the use of drugs in athletics.

*edit* I notice now that she's still claiming she didn't know it was a steroid at the time. Hopefully, somewhere down the line we can prove her to be lying about that as well :roll:

I don't understand why she's involved in such nasty practices. It was 7 years back, she was the role model for every aspirant, but no one cares now. STEROIDS should be completely banned.

I agree with you. Steroids should be used for only for good purposes. Banning them will not produce any result.
