View Full Version : New Site Changes - is it just me?

Since the Forum was offline, hyperlinks now open in 'this' window and not 'new window' (which means I keep accidentally closing the forum when I've finished reading the link), and I have to click 'logout' twice to actually log out.

Is this a coincidence, or have other people noticed any changes?

PS - I like the 'new PM' list.

I can't find 'site feedback' so I'm assuming it's gone. :suspect: (looking for sitebot, waiting to be moved)

Please note the Site Feedback forum is currently withdrawn while we work on a new set-up, which will include a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs). In the meantime, if you have any questions or feedback related to the site or the moderators, please e-mail it to us until the Site Feedback forum returns.

hehe, what happened to that thing about not being allowed on after midnight by Mr Strix?

Thanks you guys, but that wasn't what I was asking, really. Not being able to logout could be a real issue for anybody using a public computer and the hyperlink thing is getting a tad tiresome.

Is it something I've done to my settings or is it a forum thing?

(I can see me being shuffled off to 'Ask an Expert' )

Hello again.

The delicate point I was trying to make was that in the announcement it states to email any issues revolving around site problems etc to the relevant address. ;) :D

My apologies if you've already done this.

Knowing how busy you guys all are recently, I thought I'd check my 'facts' before cluttering up somebody's inbox. I'm not renowned for my technical expertise, and it's feasible that I've done something daft. ;)

I've not noticed any changes since before my.. vacation, other than the text looks bigger on the side menu. AFAIK the only links that open in new windows are profiles. If you prefer new windows, hold down shift and click the link, or right click the link and select "open in new window".

I've noticed that links now open in same window as well. Twice I've closed the link assuming its in a new window, only to find myself looking at my desktop again!

Logout has always been a bit dodgy - I've had to delete the cookie loads of times to logout.
