My car died on me this morning just before the London Road/Queens Road/Chesterfield Road junction (or whatever that bit is called) and I couldn't even set the hazard warning lights.

A wonderful young man offered to push it onto the kerb for me (and it's a heavy car). He went off before I had a chance to thank him. I doubt he is on the Forum but if he is, big big thanks.

The AA man was most helpful in helping me get the car to a garage by putting in a temporary battery as the alternator had gone.

The garage itself (Smiths Auto Services, Heeley) are pulling out all the stops to try and get it fixed as soon as possible.

And all my mates have rallied round ensuring I have lifts (I have mobility problems so am reliant on my car to get about).
