Does anyone know if mail that needs to be redelivered needs a stamp please? I keep getting mail for the girl who used to live in my flat, I have a forwarding address for her so I've been writing this on the letter, popping a new stamp on and sticking it back in the post. My colleague at work tells me that I don't need to do this, it is enough just to write 'Please redeliver to...' and then putting the letter back in the post. Any ideas? Thanks

No need for a new stamp as long as the letter hasn't been opened - just cross out the old address, write in the new one and put it back in the post. I've done this a lot with post for one of my sons who no longer lives at home and he has always received letters I've sent on
