does anyone know who got married at cathedral yesterday apparently horse guards were present and appeared to be someone important

It was the inauguration ceremony for the new 'Master Cutler'. It traditionally includes a procession from the Cutlers Hall across the road to the Cathedral.

Could the 'horse guards' have been mounted police? They have a ceremonial uniform including a plumed helmet like the Household cavalry.

Could it have been the first cross species wedding? I read in the Star a few weeks back that a guy from Stocksbridge was planning on marrying his horse. With this being such an unusual union, I would imagine it attracting a fair bit of media attention.

Nah, someone marrying their horse would surely have been from Rovvrum.

Mounted Police ? Those Coppers are always at it, ( they should stick to holding hands).
