View Full Version : American Football - Any fans?
Do we have any fans here?
Anyone watching the playoffs at the moment?
Who do you think will win?
I'm a Vikings fan myself and would love them to win but i don't think they stand a chance. Think the Steelers will win personally

I was a massive fan in the mid/late 1980s.
My Team was the Washington Redskins.
Still have signed picture of Joe Thiesman.
Do not follow it any longer I am afraid.
Might watch a game now you have mentioned it.
Always wondered why most people struggled with the rules?
I'm a fan, but my team are the Panthers, so I'd rather not talk about it at the moment. :(
I'm not a devout fan by any stretch of the imagination, but its probably my fave. US sport over baseball and basketball.
I like the technicality of the game and the movement of players.
I also love chucking an american football around!
I saw the highlights program of the divisional semi finals or something? Anyway 3 out of the 4 away teams won, it was funny.
ps Seattles stadium is excellent.
I don't watch the sports much, but i do have money on the comming up super bowl game at out local store, teams arn't picked till last minute, well last day if you get in a pool like this you take the team and the score thats drawn for your box number, haven't figured how it's done, just plonked down $250
and keep my fingers crossed, if any ones interested i'll let them know my picks before the game.
I was always a fan of the New York Giants.
Sadly, I don't get the opportunity to view it these days.
It is however a fascinating game for the tactical minded.

I find foootball hard to follow, but i will be watching the super bowl in Feb, my husband will be glued to the TV hoping to see another wardrobe malfunction !
Yea, that was very funny last yr with Janet Jacksons boobs! Can't see what all the fuss was about personally, you see much worse on TV. I guess they didn't think it appealed to the family viewers.

I'm fortunate to live in New England, so you know I'll be supporting the team of the century, the Patriots!! Sorry Philly not this year.

Good luck! I'll be rooting for you (even though I usually go for the underdog). I doubt it'll be as good a game as last year, although I'm bias.
I'm sorry it's not the Panthers too, Snook, they were and are a worthy opponent. I don't think the Eagles will put up much of a fight. I hope I'm wrong.
Anyone watch to us super bowl game last night ?it's a big thing over here, i see Paul McCartney sang his old druggie songs again, don't know how he gets away with it, guess he thinks people can't read between the lines .

What on earth are you on about Mary?
Paul sang Drive My Car, Get Back, Live And Let Die and Hey Jude at the Super Bowl. Perhaps you could point out all the drug references in those songs for us?
Or are you just talking your usual cobblers?
It's called puritanism, Connecticut is famous for it.
mojoworking 09-02-2005, 14:02 Thanks buck, that explains a lot.

You know what I mean, Poppins, no liquor in the supermarkets, no liquor on Sunday or after 8 PM weekdays. Rhode Island is positively sinful, and as for Boston fergedaboutit.
