Would it have to be a petition to the council?

Had trouble with some kids on and off, not me, other neighbours. They tend to gather at the top of a genal, where there is no lighting and it is quite dark, they throw things into the road, which is a main dual carriageway and will cause a serious accident one day. The other day, they were throwing stones at cars and buses and a bloke stopped, got out and chased them with and iron bar! He didn't catch em tho, little blighters:rant: Then on another occasion, it was house bricks they were throwing in the road, and another time, a tyre from a car!!! there has been vandalism to cars and general rubbish etc. Soem of the neighbours have had hold of them but they got the response "don't give a ****!"

There is lighting on the main road but we've been told that lighting isn't meant for us and therefore the council can't trim the trees back that block the light out.

help!

I'd start by contacting your local Councillors: http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/your-city-council/councillors

If you can get several people to contact them, rather than just you, it would probably help.

Good luck.

Your best bet is a petition and then present it at an area panel meeting that way it gets minitited it is in the public domain and they can not deny they have it look in the little sheffield servcices book that is been put through doors at the mo

If you'd like to contact me at the Town Hall, bryan.lodge@sheffield.gov.uk, I'll see what can be done.

Phone the 101 number to report it generally. This number is to be used to report any non urgent anti social behaviour issues. It's a joint initiative between the police and the Council. Between them they'll sort something out.

If the kids are there and causing trouble and you require an immediate response then phone 999.
