A 10yo boy had to receive medical attention after being involved in an accident with Gerrard's car.
Turns outr the kid is a Manchester United fan .... conspiracy theory, anyone? :hihi:
Still, Gerrard went to see him this afternoon and brought him a pair of Rooney's boots as a present. Apparently he's fine, barring a (cleanly) broken leg.
Apparently Gerrard was distraught!
He did the right thing though, good on him.
Some other footballers might have just left the lad! Pennant anyone? :P

While I have no doubt that Gerrard would've done the right thing anyway, it is easier to hang around afterwards when it's patently obvious the accident wasn't your fault. The boy just ran out and collided with his car.

I wonder if the opposition fans will taunt him?

Hard to see how having someone run into the side of your car without looking, is grounds for being taunted.
What is also commendable is that Gerrard was driving slowly. Not something you associate professional footballers with normally.

Was Gerrard's first reaction to throw himself theatrically to the floor and demand the 10 year old was punished for obstruction?

It's Gerrard driving
Not Cristiano Ronaldo, Did-he-dive Drogba or Arjen Robben.
