If you have a Stagecoach Supertram Monthly pass, are you entitled to some kind of discount on the First Group buses?

I was a bit surprised when I heard it from a colleague at work, since they are competing services. But my colleague sounded absolutely!

Does anyone have any idea about this?

No Stagecoach bus passes cannot get discount on First.

The ONLY valid tickets valid on bus/tram/local train services within SY is the Travelmaster range.

Well - I just found out that it is true!

Monthly Megarider - £35
This ticket is valid for one calendar month and is non transferable. A 90p (Travel-Adda) add on ticket may be purchased on First buses in Sheffield which allows one single journey.

Not available any more. Their website needs updating :( Travel Adda used to be good but they stopped them a few months ago!

I would be happy if the bus drivers actually knew, where they were going and what the ticket options are.

You bet me to it, think it was july it was withdrawn, anyway if you had a monthly stagecoach pass you would be buying it because you used mainly stagecoach services so why would you want discount on first, if you were using them as much you would be better off with a travelmaster.

You used to be able to get a discount on First busses using you Stagecoach tram pass just like I could use my First pass on the tram for a discount but this was withdrawn a long with the Switcha and Travel Adda when Stagecoach started competing and under cutting First on the same routes.

Unfortunatley that is why they cant join together in fares or services because the OFT think they are conspireing with one another.

For example you can not operate a joint service with another operator if you do then you are liable for any loses the other makes on any services. If you join together on fares you can be reported to the OFT so there fore things like exchange tickets went out of the window at dereg .
