I keep getting myself into hot water with my wife. They are so addictive. Anyone else been there?

Due to the difficult period I am going through, it's a sort of release, but not the answer.

I would be interested to hear of anyone else's experiences with this sort of thing.

I like to be open, as I'm sure you all know.

I was on winmx chat for a short while last night, found it really crap though. There are sooo many rooms and everyone seems to know each other...
It's great for down loading free albums etc though! :thumbsup:

One of my friends hosts a room on there, he loves it.

Full of hackers and bugs, I rarely use it.

WinMX is for file sharing - videos and music etc. It has chat rooms that are (generally) for people wanting to swop porn and talk filth. It's a bit primative as far as chat rooms go and I personally wouldn't recommend it (although, in the defence of the thread starter, not ALL the rooms are filth, just the majority)!!

As a non-user of file sharing systems on principle, and an avoider of porn and filth, I think I'll give WinMX a miss!!

Yes, it's great for music - can't knock it - but chatting on it makes you feel like you've really hit rock bottom.

I won't even try to get there in future.

I used to use WinMX a couple of years ago but I got fed up of having to keep reformatting my hardrive due to so many viruses!

These days I just rent films from lovefilm.com as it's less time consuming, less hassle and my laptop remains virus free! :clap:

ive tried the winmx chatrooms when im very bored everytime i was in there they seemed to be loads of squabbling going on .......... have more bother with the leeches on there than anything else:help:

god i used to use winmx yeeeears ago! i had no idea it would still be around, let alone evolved to the point where it has chat rooms, a community, etc..

anyway, i thought all talk of p2p and file sharing apps was banned from these holiest-of-holy forums?
