They're taking their time aren't they....
I mean, they built the one on queens road in less time than its taken to fix up Hillsborough.

They were never the most efficient bunch though, I went in once to get a sander and got told (and this is not a joke):
We don't have any sanders in right now, we're going to have a makover, come back in 8 weeks when we've had our refurb and get one then.

The time it's taken to get this place done up is an absolute joke:rant:

It was completely devastated by the flood - it had to be stripped internally and then sanitised and rebuilt. All the stock had to be destroyed.

If you are wanting something soon, the QUEENS ROAD warehouse has it's official re-launch this week following it's refit and on Friday 5th, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th there will be 10% OFF EVERYTHING in the store, including items already on offer.

I'm hoping they've added flood defences: if it happens again they could go under! :hihi:

Sorry, next time we have a flood we'll re-open quickly and sell everyone contaminated products :loopy:

Remember - this is what is was like the day after the floods... (http://simoncutts.fotopic.net/c1313013.html)

Reopening after a flood of that magnitude is not just a case of a quick paint and refit. Drying a place out takes forever and a day and if new floors/walls etc have to be put in, that cannot even be started until the surveyers pass the place as dry enough to start.

Things have to be done properly otherwise thered be a sheffieldforum.co.uk full of posts slagging off rushed building work

I had my bathroom refurbished by Connaught in June....the paint finish was awful and rubbed off to reveal bare plaster....so I got my trusty B&Q paint chart and picked out a Kitchen and Bathroom paint....colour Droplet.....went to B&Q....closed due to the flooding.....came home :(. The following day a neighbour who has let his property out was clearing out and passed me on the landing with some paint in his hand....I joked about B&Q and he said I could have what he was about to throw away if it was any help....which he handed me.....it was B&Q Kitchen and Bathroom and the colour.....Droplet....Now that is what I call serendipity. :D
