Coming home via University roundabout this evening, just before 7, there was a convoy of about 8 Vovlo estate police cars with emergency lights on (though no sirens) ploughing it up from Broad Lane to Walkley. The lead car pulled up on the roundabout to clear the way then joined the back of the group when the others had moved past.

Any idea what this was in aid of? PA Jewellery's alarms going off?

Just got into work this morning and there's a fire engine in front of the town hall with a Peugeot on the pavement, Peugeot front wheel has disappeared underneath it!
Wonder if the goodies and baddies have been playing a 'reality GTA' last night! :suspect:

(Can't really see 'GTA Sheffield' becoming very popular somehow)!

Sorry, but it was my fault. I'd popped into the Co-Op on Barber Road to buy Hello magazine for the missus, unbeknowingly parking on DOUBLE YELLOW LINES! I didn't know, honest. I mean, I put the indicators on just in case....,

pberry is closest, its actually the Sheffield Traffic Police Formation Display Team.

Following their recent tv success on Traffic Cops they have decided to cash in on their fame and will, from the beginning of this summer, be available for hire at gala's and fete's.

So if the Red Arrows are busy fighting a war somewhere anyone interested should contact their agents.

Please note: Anyone who has been a victim of road crime should ring the usual number but are advised to book early and not during meal times to avoid dissapointment.

Also note: Anyone who as been a victim of a non traffic related crime should contact their insurance companies directly.

Yes, I seem to recall somebody (badboyracer) complaining about that recently :hihi:

Edit: Looks like that thread was a victim of the recent pruning. Not surprised. It was tosh

I was thinking you meant Grand Theft but never made the connection.

No-one knows the answer then.
