just watching The Last Train on the Sci Fi channel.

The reason this is interesting is because it's set in Sheffield. A rather trashed and devastated Sheffield after an asteroid impact in Zambia, but Sheffield none the less.

The science is rather suspect, and the acting not quite top notch. But it's fun to try and spot places.

So far we complained that the station appears to have actually been shot in St Pancras, and the geography seems a bit strange. One minute they were walking past the remains of Kingdom, run through an abandoned building to avoid wild dogs and suddenly they're down by one of the arches storage units.

Appears to be a mini series, not sure when the rest of it will be on.

2 more episodes next week, but it won't be set in sheffield by the sounds of it, they're heading for Scotland to find a secret government 'Ark' project.

I've seen this series more than once and am amazed that it is still unknown to some people. Unfortunately the story does indeed move out of Sheffield and not wishing to give the ending away I'd figured it out before the final 'astounding' finish. I did notice the old sweet factory off Chesterfield road was in fact an old place not far from Wadsley Bridge.
