Unfortunately happened to catch the first episode of ITV's Distance Shores series and thought to myself "Isn't this Doc Martin?!".

Funnily enough, the only Doc Martin (that Martin Clunes thing) episode I saw was the first one too. Both start with a 'high flying' doctor going to work in a remote surgery and dealing with all the farmers etc. I'm sure they both arrived at night in the rain and then woke to realise how pretty the area was... very spooky :suspect:

Is ITV aware that it's commissioned an exact same show? :hihi:

So glad I'm not the only one out there who thought this!

Thought it might be the same show with a really quick turnaround between series, abut they couldn't get Martin Clunes to come back for a second run! :D

It's a real case of "People like it, lets make more of it", as opposed to trying something new.
Safe and formulaic (sp), typical ITV fare I suppose.

I liked the doc martin series but unfortunately missed a few, is it coming out on dvd.
