I noticed there seems to be a growing number of 'Where can I park for......' threads, so

you might find the answer here (http://sccplugins.sheffield.gov.uk/car_parking/)

Pleased to be of assistance!

Of course - there's no guarantee you'll get a space once you get to your chosen spot :D

What I want to know is why is Sheffield a lot more expensive to park than nabouring towns. Rothermam, Chesterfield, Barnsley Huddersfield all a lot cheaper. No wounder people don't shop in Sheffield, nightmare to get in with all the road works and one way systems then charge the eart to park.

Can anyone help me? A young damsel in distress... lol :P

Just been looking at the Council's website...
http://sccplugins.sheffield.gov.uk/car_parking/pages/off_street_parking/fitzwilliam_street.htm

and my attention was drawn to the bit about "charging hours"... So, if I turned up at 9pm on a Monday say, and wanted to park up for 2 hours and have a meal... Would I have to pay?

It's no doubt a very dozy question, but I need to know!

Of course you'd still have to pay, when it says

"Charging Hours:
Mon - Sat 08:00-20:30."

that just refers to when you can plug in an electric car and charge the batteries for your drive home, jeesh, I thought that was obvious...

...j/k ;)

haha very funny...
But if they're the "charging hours" then can I park for free outside of the charging hours?! IE: 9pm- 11pm?...... Or is it 8am on a Monday, 24hrs a day until 8.30pm on a Saturday?

OK, well, there's a contact phone number, if you really want to be safe call 'em.

But my 2p is that it says

"Charging Hours:
Mon - Sat 08:00-20:30."

not

"Charging Hours:
Mon 08:00 - Sat 20:30."

So, free every day 20:30 to 08:00, Sunday free all day.

BTW, are you Blonde? ;)
