View Full Version : Mark Thatcher gets a suspended sentence owdlad 13-01-2005, 11:04 Well that spawn of satan, has got a suspended sentence for his part in funding an attempt to over throw the government of Equatorial Guinea ( surprise surpise) once again this pratt gets less than he deserves. venger 13-01-2005, 11:14 So true, but he will only be a puppet in the scheme IMO. Not the first time he has been caught for questionable activities if I remember correctly. So he can return to his family in the US, someone is pulling strings. owdlad 13-01-2005, 11:29 Originally posted by venger So true, but he will only be a puppet in the scheme IMO. Not the first time he has been caught for questionable activities if I remember correctly. So he can return to his family in the US, someone is pulling strings. After listening to News Night it sounds as if "Mummy" aka Satan has contacted President Mbeki in South Africa twice to ask him to intervene, but she was knocked back and told it was a judicial matter so he couldn't intervene (yeah right) This slime ball ought to be stripped of his Knighthood, now he is a convicted criminal. Swan_Vesta 13-01-2005, 11:37 Suprise suprise. Thatcher gets a suspended sentence and the majority of the rest of the are banged up for a while - what would people do without the old boys network? One law for the rich springs to mind!! Am I right in remembering that the previous misdemeanour had something to do with either supplying or buying arms or have I got him confused with another person of questionable integrity? venger 13-01-2005, 11:45 Good points raised, would not be surprised if it was like his (probable) hidden employers saving his sleazy hide. People with more influence than Satan herself  Sam Miguel 13-01-2005, 11:50 For trying to organise a coup! A susupended sentence! If that's the case, shouldn't his mother be made to sit down and write out: "I must not kill Argentinian sailors by sinking their ships" a hundred times. Dear me. owdlad 13-01-2005, 11:56 Originally posted by venger Good points raised, would not be surprised if it was like his (probable) hidden employers saving his sleazy hide. People with more influence than Satan herself  Hidden employers indeed, one of the names who were backing it was a certain G Archer. Food for thought that these folk and their cronies are still backing a certain M. Howard as our next PM :suspect: JonJParr 13-01-2005, 12:13 To use his own words he's obviously, "Got mummy to have a word with them". depoix 13-01-2005, 12:32 the louse might be free but i wouldnt want to be in his shoes, the people he left to carry the can have long memories im sure... Food for thought that these folk and their cronies are still backing a certain M. Howard as our next PM :suspect: I wasn't at all surprised to hear that Peter Mandelson has been linked (not romantically :gag: ) to Ely Calil - a backer of the attempted coup. Mandelson rented flat from oil tycoon in coup claim (http://www.guardian.co.uk/equatorialguinea/story/0,15013,1291474,00.html) Yodameister 14-01-2005, 12:38 Its the old story. Kill one man its murder and you go to prison for life. Plot to kill thousands and you get a fine. The rich and powerful write the laws for themselves, and prison is designed for the working classes. algy 14-01-2005, 13:31 If he's pleaded guilty and been convicted, particularly of the type of crime, how come he can walk into the US when they're refusing people entry just for having the same name as someone who might possibly be suspected of terrorist involvement, or for having a criminal conviction in another country? Just wait for the book tour, the chat show appearances where he repeatedly claims to "deeply regret his actions", Norman Lamont coming on the telly to bleat on about what a fine upstanding member of the redoubtable Thatcher clan he really is, "Equatorial Guinea - The Opera" and, of course, the celebrity Big Brother appearance. He may not have got his hands on the oil he was after, but I reckon he'll do alright financially from this escapade. owdlad 04-04-2005, 13:45 So the Spawn of Satan is getting the knock back from the good old US of A. The Yanks are showing they have no time for him, good old Gee Dubya is showing his teeth at last. This from the Times web site. SIR Mark Thatcher has been refused a visa to join his wife and two children in the United States because of his alleged role in a failed African coup. Sir Mark had planned to make a fresh start in America after being given a four-year suspended sentence and fined £265,000 over a botched coup in Equatorial Guinea. The decision by the US Government is a serious setback for Sir Mark and prevents him from visiting his Texan-born wife, Diane, 44, and their two children in Dallas. It is also a blow for Baroness Thatcher, who is devoted to her son. She had hoped that the US Government would make an exception for him because she is still widely admired in the States. venger 04-04-2005, 17:34 Originally posted by owdlad So the Spawn of Satan is getting the knock back from the good old US of A.
