Does anyone know what happened this morning at the junction of Shiregreen Lane and Wincobank Avenue? There was a badly smashed car and three ambulances and a police car present at about 8.15 this morning.

I was just up at the edge of newman road at about 7.55 this morning waiting for a bus when i heard a bang. Didn't see anything but there appeared to have been an accident between a silver hire van and a citreon car.

Like I said i didn't witness anything and didn't really catch sight of the damage but wouldn't have said it had been that badly damaged to warrant ambulances etc. Then again might have been another incident shortly after this.
