View Full Version : How do you beat the post holiday blues?
I have been a proper grumpy puss since I went back to work following the lovely holiday. I don't know whether its the weather, pmt, the lack of nicotine in my system or going cold turkey from the Quality Street and red wine but I am fed up :(
What do you do to cheer yourself up and banish the blues?
It'll soon be Easter beckb!!!
I just growl at work and generally abuse any Sheffield Wendy fans.
There again I do that all the time, not just after Xmas.
1) You go shopping & then have coffee & buns
2) Clean everything & then have coffee & buns
3) You have a pampery evening with favourite smelly stuff (not bathbombs in the shower though)
& then have coffee & buns
4) You watch all your favourite films (at the same time as having coffee & buns)
5) You have too many vodka blings/killer punch (with friends) & then have coffee & malteser cake at 3am (also with friends )
:D
I give myself another 3 weeks holiday.
Coffee and Buns very much the theme then Sian :suspect:
I admit to being a bit moody after returning to work but whats a little grumpiness between colleagues :hihi:
I find that alcohol works
missnorks 13-01-2005, 10:24 I beat the holiday blues with a big stick!:loopy:
I find that " glad it's all over " is a real help.!

Sam Miguel 13-01-2005, 11:52 I've booked all this week off work and am spending some quality time with my missus.
In-between posting on SF, of course.
missnorks 13-01-2005, 12:20 Quality time with your missus? What, surfing the Sheffield forum, bet she's well chuffed!:D

I've been feeling this way too... very down with no real reasons as to why... I thought i was the odd one...
I did put it down to the festive season... having to get back to the ole routine etc... its horrible :( I think its worse tho when you get almost a month off... I finished on the 10-12-04 an didnt go back till 07-01-05 its a long time...
I didn't have any post holiday blues, Christmas was so dull this year I was glad to get back.
missnorks 13-01-2005, 12:45 Perhaps you're all sufering from SAD- never know it's on the increase apparently. Acute depression caused by lack of daylight.
Sam Miguel 13-01-2005, 12:46 I said in-between. She's out anyway at the moment.
