Hello,

I have recently brought a car at Bawty Motor auction and the car was 5 cars old. They did not have the full log book. But gave me section 10 which as a different reg number to the car. I have checked the car's actual reg number on the DVLA website and it states the car is not listed?

WHat does this mean?

Just make an application for a new log book and provide what details you have. If theres any problems im sure the DVLA will be in touch!

When you purchase a vehicle at Auction you pay an indemnity fee. This means if you have a problem with the provenance of a vehicle you can return it.

Best thing to do if you're not sure is to carry out a hpi car data check, that should tell you if there is any finance outstanding, or if the vehilce has been a insurance write off.

Has the car been sold with a personalised plate still on it, but no longer registered to that car?
