We've got some damp coming up under our bay window and it's causing the plaster to go a bit funny on the inside and outside. Can anyone recommend anyone to do a good job to fix it? Does it just need sealing or does it need something else doing to it? :help:

Search for "damp" using the search link over to the left of the page. It's come up a few times (the topic that is - the forum itself doesn't have rising damp as far as I know). Recently someone suggested hiring a big drill and a bucket of goo and injecting a damp course yourself.
Make sure the mortar work in the wall is sound or you can get penetrating damp coming through rather than rising damp coming up.
You may also have ways of reducing the amount of water in the ground around the wall. Do any gutter downpipes simply spill out on to the ground near there (no drain or blocked drain)? If so you could put a water butt there to catch the water.
