I went into a lovely post office the other day to post an item for my father :)

I queued up behind a sweet old dear :)

She was sending a letter :)

She removed the letter from her bag

But their was no name or address written on the letter

So the old dear said to the cashier "wait i have the address on a piece of paper in my bag"

So the old dear rumaged through the bag :|

Then the old lady said " in fact my daughter will know the address i will just phone her"

Old lady got mobile out of the bag and to ring her daughter

I nodded to the cashier to say " maybe serve me while the old lady was using the phone" :|

The cashier wandered off to sort some things at the back of the office

20 minutes had passed from me joining the queue

Old lady finished conversation and waited for the cashier to stop using the phone

Cashier returned the old lady had wrote the address on the letter

Old lady said "could i send this letter please"

cashier replied "of Course"

Cashier then said "that will be x amount of pounds and pence"

Old lady rumaged through bag to find x amount of pounds and pence

30 minutes had passed

Old ladies transaction was over

Old lady started to walk away :)

Old lady turned back and said "do you have any 1st class stamps" :(

Cashier replied "Yes "

Old lady said " I think its 1st class i need"

Cashier said " we have second class if you need them too"

Old lady said "i better take some of them too"

Old lady fumbled around in bag for money

40 minutes had passed :(

Old lady waddled off

After 42 minutes i got served

Question is should i have done this (http://www.brummieblogs.com/2006/BBMay2006_files/image021.jpg)?

An old lady you say.
I suppose once your retired time moves more slowly, i know when i was last out of work each day seemed to have 72 hours in it.
I'd wager she thought she was only there 5 minutes.

2 hours for a donut!

The queuing thing really depends on what you've got on and the type of queue.
