yeah i fell for it the first time but afew weeks later i got the same one again thats why knew it was a prank

id love to get the numer so could play the prank on others

the mate that sent it to me said he downloaded it off the net i'll try and find out where from

I got the text message one.... "Hi, don't ask why, but I really need your help. Stuck down in London, I know, don't ask, need to speak to you urgent, call me on 020....... and ask for Liz, she'll know what it's about, soz, no credit left and battery nearly dead" and it's sent to me by my son.

Of course, I didn't know it was the phone number for Buckingham Palace, did I.....

I have this done to me my a mate, with a slightly more urgent tone to the text. I really did not see the funny side of it. he sent it late at night and as he had been having trouble lately,I was worried, so i rang the number wasting my time and money...... make me think about the boy who cried wolf........

This happened to my boyfriend the other night! Can't believe it was a prank! Thanks for enlightening us..we've been so worried!

Not meaning to sound totally boring but I can't believe people would consider doing this to their friends. If we ever find out who sent this to us I wouldn't consider them a friend. The time we received the call I was already in a complete state about something that had happened that day...the call just made me worry when I was already upset enough. Honestly..if you are considering doing this to people then you are obviously a very sad little person who has no concern for the feelings of anybody else but yourself. Just my opinion having been on the receiving end.

How exactly does being threatened lighten things up?

Because someone I don't know ringing me up out of the blue and threatening me about something I knew nothing about wouldn't really bother me and I'd hope I was intelligent enough to put 2 and 2 together and realise it was a prank.

Although if I'd been playing away then I might have a reason to worry :hihi:
