does anyone know the number i ring for the rspca to report a cruelty case i am in sheffield s5.

I know that the rspca shelter (spring street) isn't open at the moment so not sure where to ring.

My neighbour has got a big boisterous dog (young) & he NEVER takes it out as he isn't very stable at walking his self due to illness & his garden is quite big but very overgrown & has lots of rubbish in it (old bonfire stuff) inc bits of metal.

He went away on monday n he told me his daughter was looking after dog at her house but the dog ended up been left for 24 hrs in his house without been let out.

I have now got a key & am going round & letting him out but i don't have time myself to actually take him out for a walk.My neighbour has left tins of dog meat but the dog won't eat it so i don't think he has eaten since my neighbour went away on monday,neighbour comes back tom (fri).

I have told my neighbour numerous times to get rid of him as it's not fare on the dog keeping him like this but he hasn't done anything about it so i am now as it's just geting worse for the poor dog.

This is the 2nd dog he has had too the last 1 escaped & was never seen again.

He is supposed to be a boxer cross german shepherd but doesn't look like either of them.
He is a lovely dog & would make someone a great play mate if with the right family but will need to be tought how to play cause he hasn't got a clue just lays in the garden all day or sits at the gate watching people walk past the drive.

They are going to send someone round to have a look & they want to speak to the owner but told them he won't be back till tom (fri) so they may send someone round tom.

I really do hope they take the dog away as he needs to go to a better home for a better life.

can u keep check to see if they call there well known for forgetting about things! (rspca i mean)

Poor dog lots of people don't have a clue when it comes to caring for an animal in even an half decent way :sad:

Yes i can keep eye out when i am in or if i am out get a good neighbour across the road to watch n keep a note of when/if they do come.

don't hold your breath waiting for the rspca !
