I've just started a martial art again after many years away. I've noticed my flexibilty is not as good as it was, especially legs and hips. I'm having trouble with side kicks and that sort of thing. Are there any exercises etc that someone could recommend for this area to improve flexibility.
Cheers

I do Thai Massage that is spefically designed to focus on flexibility.
It is aligned perfectly to sports such as martial arts and also dynamic forms of yoga (Ashtanga/Jivamukti etc).
Please let me know if this would help.
Namaste,
LL

Cheers ceej. Did search on web but got sites saying how important it is to stretch and buy my DVD for my stretch secrets type of thing.
Cheers LouLounHarry but looking for something to do when I've got, say half hour spare at home.

I've got a really, really good pdf on flexibility somewhere that I'll dig out later. I've also heard good things about the 'flexible steel' method.
That would be great Crayfish.
Just want to make sure that I get the best from the stretches I already know and perhaps find some more suitable ones as well.
