Hi,

I have a lot of clothes, in very good condition. Does anyone know any shops in particular that would appreciate a few bags of a 20 year olds clothes.
Thanks in advance

the bluebell wood charity shop (for the children's hospice!) would be very grateful for support...

they are on king street, behind Primark in town, just below the entrance to castle house, near the tram stop.

If the clothes are in decent nick and not years out of date fashion wise most second hand shops will accept them gratefully. I've donated stuff to the PDSA shop at the bottom of the Moor on Cumberland street.

Samaritans Charity Shop, Chapel Walk would welcome them. And by donating them to the shop you would help contribute to the costs of keeping the Samaritans Centre running 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week....

Talking of charity shops. Anyone noticed that the QuitSmoking charity shop on the road at the bottom end of the Moor ALWAYS has windows boarded up!?

Must be some sort of venedetta or something, it always seems to be a different window, you would have thought they'd invest in wire mesh or something by now! :o

That's a legal charity? Jees! There are far more deserving cases out there. It's harkly up there with heroin addiction, is it? Why throw money at people who are spending theirs on slowly killing themselves on purpose?

Hugs and kisses,

An ex-smoker who didn't have the support of a charity :D

In the city centre there is Help the Aged opposite the post office which is down near the Catholic Cathedral, off Fargate, and the Samaritans shop on Chapel Walk. There is also Bluebell Wood and Oxfam behind Primark.

Cancer Research (I think) next to Somerfield opposite the town hall, and loads and loads down the Moor. And there's one (BHF?) on the left when you're about to cross the scary dual carriageway to get to the Moor too.

I love charity shops!

Then there's Broomhill, Hillsborough, and loads of other areas with great ones too!
