With all the controversey over the 5*hotel & other planning & regeneration issues is there anybody out there who would be interested in forming a strong debating group to give independent advice & ideas on the future regeneration of Sheffield & the surrounding region?
Me too. How many people do we feel there should be before it's worth getting together in RL? Sheffield Forum is great but I suspect not fast enough a means of communication to help us deal with some of the more immediate issues Sheffield has.
I'd love to get involved. I don't really know how these things work though. If enough people were to get involved would we actually be more likely to be listened too? Only currently any talks I have with the councill fall on deaf ears or at least nothing is answered totaly honestly. I don't like to be defeatest, but it's getting me down a bit at the moment! Where would we meet??
I'm interested, but although I was born in Sheffield, I now live in Chesterfield. Is that a problem?

I'm interested, and working right in the middle of it all...what kind of thing did you have in mind?
Laura
I'm not sure yet - need contact A.Stringer and ask him. I had a chat to him about it in Feb - at the time I he (we?) seemed to be looking for suggestions.
