hi geeks;
i've been messing around with a stream recorder to try and capture the BBC Radio Real Audio streams to my hard disk - its no problem when you want to capture the current 'live' stream, but I want to download saved shows, from a few days ago, etc.
Anyone know/have any good software?
Cheers :-)

Do a search for AUDACITY. It's a free sound recorder and works brilliantly.
I use it in school to capture radio shows and convert them to MP3.
Have dl audacity but how do i actually record stuff off of the net? Because of work I usually miss Mark Kermode's film reviews on five live but would like to record them and transfer to my ipod...

Kermode's film review can be downloaded without any messing about. Just go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/entertainment/kermode.shtml and click the link.

sorry, its not exactly called grab files link, bit consfuddling :P
i meant, once your in tools/page info/media
search for the embedded files, 1 of these should be the file you want....either a ram or ra file normally, specially on the bbcs site
select it, itll appear in the bottom section, select the whole link / right click, copy, paste into cocsofts streamdown and itll download
Thanks m8 - sorted! Can now bore everyone with old classic comedy !!!
Thanks again.:thumbsup:
