Yep, it's reset itself to the factory default setting of a US keyboard layout.
To change it back to the UK layout simply follow these steps:

1) Go to Start menu.

2) click Control Panel
.
3) Select "Date,Time,Language and regional" icon OR "Regional and
language" Icon.

4) If you selected Date,Time,Language and Regional icon at 3) then now
select "Regional and Language" options. IF you selected "Regional and
Language" before at 3) then just ignore point 4)

5)You should now have a small window open called Regional Language
options. Click on the "Languages" tab.

6)Click the "Details" button that should be higlighted there.

7) You should land on the "Settings Tab" in a new window. Check that in
the "default input language" is ENGLISH UNITED KINGDOM if it isn't then use the drop down arrow to select ENGLISH UNITED KINGDOM. Don't close this
window just yet!

8. In the same window you should see "Installed services". (If EN ENGLISH UK is not listed as an option then click the "add" button and select ENGLISH UK from the list). In this box click on EN ENGLISH US, it will now be highlighted then just click remove, then "apply" then okay.

9)just close all the open windows.

If needs be restart your computer and the keyboard should be back to UK layout once more.
