Traffic is horrendous.. my husband just went down to get the Middlewood Tram to work and nothing is moving. We saw a sign on Leppings Lane by the new houses that are being built saying road closed for a week but figured.. they can't mean Leppings Lane as all that would do is direct all the traffic through Hillsborough Corner?
Any info anyone?

heard on Radio Hallam that its repairs to sewer works. Maybe they thought a Monday morning at around 8am was a good time to start :} Traffic also bad down the hill towards Woodseats going into town - has been chocca since about 7.30am and the amount of big lorries tells me its something thats happened on the motorway - apparently theres been an acident near the m18 - avoid Woodseats peeps today if you can (thinking of it its not that great at any other time lol)

I think its to do with hooking the new houses up to the existing sewer infrastructure.
well what a fooking joke, that road is a MAJOR artery so they close it FFS.
why not close it out of rush hour and have lights on it during. ot why not work on the weekend and nights.
coz the builders dont want the cost thats why! f'kin ******s
why is it STILL not open?
all skips removed yesterdya morning and hole filled in and all retarmaced.
still closed though
