We have friends coming to visit soon, and were hoping to go out for a meal, probably in the city centre. One of the friends is gluten intolerant so I was wondering if anyone can recommend a restaurant with a good menu for him?

It's not in the City Centre but The Angel in Holmesfield hold a 'proper' Gluten free night on a Tuesday. We took my Mother and she says it was the best meal she'd had in years and how good it was to actually be able to look at everything on the menu knowing it would be okay. I think you'll find most restaurants will accomodate though a phone call prior to going would probably be a good call.

In the day time I like to go and eat at 22a cafe they do gluten free meals and lovely cakes 2 etc and the staff are freindly (think it's on Norfolk row in town center)
Evening meal Admerial Rodney at Loxley is ok just tell them your want to see what is gluten free on menue they will help you
