Meadowhead is green sweatshirts and black trousers (not that nice really).

Kings Edwards definately DON'T have a uniform, which surprised me.

That surprises me too. Do the kids all wear jeans then I suppose?:(

I think they can wear what they like - my friend's son has just started there and she's really disappointed about it.

No uniform at King Teds - but it doesn't seem to make much difference to the kids, they're mostly nice! It has a relaxed atmosphere. :)

Yeah, another friend's son has just left and done really well there - so don't let the 'no uniform' put you off!

My eldest is doing his A levels at King Teds - a friendly, relaxed and well run school with good academic standards IMHO - well he got a shed load of GCSE's and AS levels.

The other great thing about the school is they have a really broad intake so kids get to mix with kids from all kinds of backgrounds - not exclusively white, middle class or working class etc.

Couldn't agree more - a really good mix of kids who all rub along quite happily.

Does anyone know if King Edward's teach German from year 7 - they don't appear to have a website, so can't check it out myself.

they do Spanish from year 7 onwards, then choose between French and German in year 8.
