We would really, really like to go for a walk with you :D

I admit complete blame for Takara's lack of socialisation to large breed dogs and as a result she gets very nervous with dogs that are larger than her.

Any friendly large breeds that would like to meet a psycho dally who, once she's got to know you will either mooch alongside if that's what you prefer or will chase you around a field and be chased for as long as you wish?

I'd be very grateful if you could help - she really needs to learn that these dogs aren't going to hurt her!

I'd be more than happy to bring Molly along on a walk whenever Lotti, if you think it would help. (It may help Molly too;))

Aww thanks hunni - she's a little sweetheart, just a bit nervous!

Medusa - that'd be grand, GSDs are one of the few large dogs she was properly socialised with because of the incident when she was 12 weeks and a GSD bit her face so she's actually not too bad with them because I worked so hard at making sure she didn't hold a grudge so Molly is probably a good place to start!

We'd also very much like to meet giant dogs like great danes, wolfhounds and rotties if anyone's willing :D

Hi Lottie

Our Albert looks wolfie lol but is prob only her size although stockier than her, and may be a bit taller. If it would help though i don't mind. He is quite a good dog to use for this sort of thing though as once he has said hello he ignores and does his thing so he does reassure dogs who struggle with confidence as he doesn't pester.

but they are beautiful beasts- Ive never felt scared of a GD and tried oh so hard to persuade other half to let me adopt that blue one you needed to rehome for someone a coupla months back.

I'd love to bring Ailsa - but other half gets paranoid about her being unpredictable with other dogs. I think she needs more contact with other dogs, myself. Preferably somewhere where they could splash about in water and run and play - she always loved walks with our friend's lab and even accepted a strange dog once who accompanied them, so maybe one day eh?

Where's the lady with the GDs that look like cows when you need her!

They were cracking dogs!

Haha Helly! Yes they were great (once you had established they were indeed dogs, not cows) and Takara was scared at first but took to them ok which is why we need to meet more!

K - I hope the other half lets you eventually. Usually the best way to combat a problem with other dogs is to expose them (gradually) to more dogs! (But you knew that).

Thanks tatty, we'll be in touch :)
