Just out of interest how many people sit in the Peace Gardens at lunchtime I'm sure I can't be the only forummer out of all the crowds the nice weather has brought out.

Pugsley 10-09-2007, 13:07 I wish. All I have to view from my office window are; rolling hills, a fair few sheep, and some lovely countryside. ;) AtticusFinch 10-09-2007, 13:18 Be careful, you might get accused of being a paedophile! The police may even stop and search (http://www.manchester-forum.co.uk/index.php/topic,1169.0.html) you for sitting there in the sunshine. It turns out that any man sitting out enjoying the sunshine in a city centre park or square is actually a paedophile. :o *Ryan* 10-09-2007, 13:29 Potentially, depending on weather.com. md25 10-09-2007, 13:34 Be careful, you might get accused of being a paedophile! ahahaha that's like something from Monkey Dust "By the power vested in me by a text vote on Sky News, any single male in daylight is guilty of paedophilia" ReginaldD 10-09-2007, 14:30 When the weather is nice I regularly head for the Peace Gardens and grab myself a sunny spot of grass. I was down there today, I don't mind the school holidays but today was so nice and peaceful compared to recently with kids screaming running through the fountains. I normally get a paper from Somerfield and chill out there with my meal dela form Boots with my headphones in, that gets me away from it all. jamtart27 10-09-2007, 15:04 must agree about the kids, nothing against them enjoyin themselves but i was there today too and it was nice and quiet, just quietly soakin up the sun Phil_G 10-09-2007, 22:12 Best enjoyed with a pasty from the shop across the road. Figsta 11-09-2007, 11:46 Yes I used to. I thought it was a novel idea when I used to work around there.. until I found the small patch of grass near the back of the Winter Gardens, it's far quieter and a nice little sun spot around midday. grump's 20-10-2007, 17:15 Best enjoyed with a pasty from the shop across the road. You must be joking, £2.80p for a pasty. You must have some shares in the place, go to Greggs, much better. Antics^^ 20-10-2007, 18:08 You must be joking, £2.80p for a pasty. You must have some shares in the place, go to Greggs, much better. Your kidding right? I once saw a notice in Greggs about the ingredients in their products, along the lines that their products contain X amount of E numbers, artificial flavouring & whole lot of other nasty stuff. I'm surprised you didn't tell us the brand of your mp3 player/mobile phone. :| volvoB10M 20-10-2007, 18:35 Just out of interest how many people sit in the Peace Gardens at lunchtime I'm sure I can't be the only forummer out of all the crowds the nice weather has brought out. I miss out on this due to the amount of goths, tramps and kids having their weekly bath in the fountains. S8 Blade 20-10-2007, 18:50 I'll sit in Peace Gardens to eat lunch - but it has to be REALLY warm! You won't see me there in this weather - sun or no sun! |
