Yeah i keep ducks, got two call ducks at the moment but used to keep up to 15 call ducks and a couple of other breeds inc indian runners, aylsbury, khaki campbell and various cross breeds. Pm if you want and i will try to help.

i have 4 new Indian runners in a large electrified enclosure with 24 hens. Problem is they are reluctant to go back ibto their house at night and we have had to catch them by hand
any ideas????

How long have you had them? ive found they take a while to settle in, maybe you should give them less room away from the hens. Do they have a seperate house for themselves?
My ducks have a small encolsure with their own shed but always sneak through the fence to sleep in the kennel with the hounds!!!
The indian runner ducks always seem a bit skittish to me, not as brave as other breeds.
I havent got many ideas on this one, its tricky, once youve caught them are they locked in till morning? They should catch on after a while i should think!

Thanks for the advice, I have made a smaller half enclosure inside the bigger one and herded the ducks in slowly lst night which workd well!!
