Hi,
My pal tells me my photobucket pictures do my hounds no justice so here is a picture of my Scottish Deerhound "Ciara" in all her glory. I think ive figured out why she is in pain and costing me hundreds of pounds and still the vet is baffled. I think she has a bad back so if anyone out there has any info on this sort of condition PLEASE contact me.
Cheers.
Jo.

I think she looks lovely

I used to have a number for a back specialist but I cant find it, but you are aswell to search for vet who knows their stuff when it comes to backs. Another alternative would be to try Reiki. I do know the number of an animal Reiki Practitioner if you would like her number PM me.

Hi Jo,

She's beautiful! Another alternative to what gemima suggested would be (Tellington) TTouch therapy.

Here's the UK website: http://www.ttouchtteam.co.uk/
And here's where to find a practitioner: http://www.ttouchtteam.com/CAPrac.html

It's one of the many things I can't wait to have the finances to study!!

We went to the Rotherham show today and saw several Irish wolf hounds and some deer hounds. They are so beautiful and just gentle giants. Your girl is gorgeous am very jealous. I have heard good things about TT therapy. You can also learn massage yourself aand as Lottie suggested studying TT therapy yourself also something i would love to do, it can bring such comfort to dogs especially those with high anxiety and health concerns. Good luck and please let us know how you go on and off course more pics x

She's fab. My brother used to breed wolfies n they used a Reiki healer for various things over the years, including back problems, so it could work for you. I've read about Tellington and although I dont know all about it, I decided early on that I would make a point of massaging Ailsa, to calm her and to get her used to being handled. She loves to be cuddled and fussed over, so the massage is an extension of that and means she is really chilled out when strangers touch her, including the vets.
