Hi all,
Moved to Sheffield just over a month ago and have been distraught (yup--distraught!) to find that I can only get about 500Kbps (.5Mbps) broadband where I live (up on High Storrs). I previously lived in a village outside Canterbury, Kent and got nearly 5000Kbps (5Mbps), though I was less than half the distance to the exchange. I figure from online info that I should be getting much better speeds but my ISP (Madasafish, part of Brightview, recently becoming part of BT) says that's the best my line can handle.
Is anyone else getting such rubbish speeds, or better yet, is anyone in S10/S11 getting much better speeds? Esp. if you live Greystones/High Storrs.
Are there other options? I think my exchange is Broomhill, and I asked Be what they thought they could give me but they never replied. Bad sign.
