Hi all, sadly my Great Uncle died last week and his funeral is at Grenoside Crematorium, at the South Chapel. Now I have heard that the Grenoside Crematorium is also called, Skew Hill, is this correct?
Also when I get there can anyone tell me how to get to the south Chapel?

Yes it is also called skew hill, it is signposted in grenoside. But it is at the crossroads up salt box lane. where the old council offices used to be which are now new flats. Hope this helps.

Im not sure which one it is, but i definately know that it is well signposted u wont miss it.

Both chapels are well signposted within the grounds jesus, and the crematorium is well signposted from Salt Box Lane too. There are only 2 chapels so it's not like you've got lots to choose from.

It's on the site of the old Ordinance Factory. If you can call such places nice, then it is. Sadly, I have been there a few times.

Come up Halifax Road from Hillsbro' until Dual Carriageway goes to single carriageway. Once it changes to single carriageway, continue for about half a mile to a set of traffic lights, and turn left at the lights on to Salt Box Lane. Carry on up the hill, over a cross roads, and continue till you pass The Cow & Calf pub on Right hand side. Continue for half a mile or so after that, and the gates to the Crem are on your left hand side.
