Like to get out and play music in a relaxed atmosphere with other like minded folk, The Notty at Broomhill used to be good, don't know if they still do it? guitar_bob 09-09-2007, 13:45 There are a few, but the only ones I've been to are can u jam at the Malin Bridge Inn (used to be at the Deep End in Hilsborough), which is on wednesdays and sundays, The Woodseats hotel on chesterfield road. Both have a good standard of musicians and more importantly encourage anyone to get up an' ave a go! There was a very friendly acoustic jam at the Gardeners rest once a month but I'm not sure if they're open again after the flooding markyh 09-09-2007, 23:08 On sunday evenings you might like to try The Riverside or The Broadfield samesame monkey 25-01-2008, 14:33 Thought I'd resurrect this post as there must be loads of open mic/jam nights in Sheffield. All electric rock/blues rollwithit 30-01-2013, 19:41 Afraid the Malin's gone down the pan again. The only people performing are the resident rock band. Yes they are very good, but no body else, irrespective of skill level is getting up. Having a full band up for most of the night may possibly put people off from getting up. How can a lone guitarist compete with a covers rock band for audience attention? However, the Castle jam seems to be better run and has some format to it for allowing people up. matthew_h 31-01-2013, 09:39 Is that the Castle at the bottom of Findon Street? Antone 31-01-2013, 09:50 Delaney's (just off the end of London Rd) has a blues jam night on Wednesdays musiclive 31-01-2013, 17:41 Great jam night tonight (every Thursday) at The Angel, Sheffield Road, Woodhouse.
