Hi

I have what may be a quite dumb question but here goes:
My mother has a DVD, VHS recrder, TV and Satelite Top setBox. She just recentley bought the DVD. Previousley she had the other things connected via scart cards, I think from receiver to VHS and then to TV. When she bought the DVD, she bought a triple scart extension thing and plugged in the DVD and VHS to it but lost a lot of the picture quality on the TV reception, and so now plugs in either the DVD or the VHS. What my question is:
What is the ideal way to connect these 4 things, with best quality results? (what should connect to what and using what sort of cables/connectors?). The TV has an aerial cable plugged in the back as well (She is in Portugal and so wants to watch the normal analogue Portuguese TV, and the Digital through the Satelite Digibox she has).
Thanks for help!!!!!!!!

Hi
Thanks for the link.
The only problem I can see is it says to
"Scart Digi to TV"
and
"Scart Video to TV",
But I believe my mothers TV (Sony trinitron about 12 years old) only has a place to connect 1 scart??

Any ideas??

Thanks

coax wall to digi box
coax digi to dvd
coax dvd to video
coax video to tv

scart digi to tv
scart dvd to video
scart video to tv

Audio jack the digi box to the stereo (ext sockets) to listen to the digital radio stations without the tv on. (or audio jack the tv to the stereo if you want your dvds to blow your ears off)

you'll need to switch both the dvd and video on to view dvds, but it should all work.

We suffered a drop in sound volume when we tried to use a doubler to get the whole lot independent.

you can get a scart adapter to plug in as many as you like. maplins is good for leads.

How many scart sockets are on the VCR?

You could always plug the DVD into the `Video In` on Sky box and watch DVD on same channel when Sky turned off..

That means that you would have to tune Sky into VCR manually if she wanted to record off sat.

Anymore questions, PM me :)
