Hi All,
Is there any specific rules etc regarding getting your bond back from Landlord?
I need to move out of this place into a smaller place but obviously will need to pay a bond, so does my Landlord here have to give me my bond back as i move out or do they have a certain amount of time after me moving out to give it to me?

There are 2 different guidelines for getting the bond returned.
If you had a contract that started prior to 6th April 2007 then you liase with your landlord or letting agent - they have to give the bond back within a reasonable amount of time (no legal definition of reasonable). If you cant agree re: the amounts or get any back then would be to take them to small claims court.

If your contracted started after 6th April this year then the process depends which scheme they protected your deposit with.
