Enjoyed a good night at The Three Merry Lads (Redmires) last night. They have started a sing around every Thusday and could do with a few more faces.

I like that pub, but not been for ages.. what exactly is a 'sing around'? Is is just a case of get up and perform something? If so what type of music?

That's great, you'll bf very welcome.
Type of music varies between folk & popular stuff if that's of interest.

I very often pick up the acoustic that's by the doors in the Three Merry Lads and have a strum. A few summers ago there'd be a few of us having a jam sat outside with our guitars.

I might have to pop along.

I'm going to go to the 3 Merry Lads next thursday (20th I think) do they still do the open mic night? If so what equipment do they have there? such as PA, any amps? I'm bringing a bass along- Thanks
