Hi there!

Does anybody know of a good designer/architect to draw up some plans for a new build? Hope you can help!

I know of one

He is called Marcus. He is very good and will not design anything cheap so it depends if you want something top spec or make do. ( I don't mean he charges a lot, just that he is into quality not quantity)

Look up the home building and renovating magazine website. They have loads of useful info - including examples of designs in each issue and loads of contacts

And they have several useful shows/exhibitions each year. I went to the one at the NEC. It was very useful

"how about people who are not architects, just to draw plans and projections? "

try sheffield city council planners (and rotherham planners) they often do freelance work in their spare time :)
alternatively, you could probably get it done for free if you give some final year sheffield uni architect students some work experience :)
