Just been to hospital to try to talk a friend out of a toxic coma.
Every Friday he has Fish and Chips and a pickled onion from the local chippie. Last friday his girlfriend found him on the floor and called an ambulance. They said at the hospital that it had been caused by the pickled onion which had turned out to be a highly poisonous pickled daffodil bulb!
He is now stable but still in a deep coma. They are trying a new technique on him and have put him in a warm bed in front of the sunniest window in the ward. They say if it works, he should come out in the spring!

Instead of burying my hamster, I made a gelatinous paste of his remains mixed with loads of sugar. I buried it in the garden in the Autumn. I was surprised to find daffodils growing there in the Spring again; normally, I'll bring again Tulips from Hamster Jam.
