Just passed the A61 Dronfield road which is blocked just outside the Sheffield Park hotel. Load of cop cars around etc. Couldn't see a smash or anything. What's going on.

It is a car crash actually. Unfortunately it appears someone has been very seriously injured.

I drove past it coming in to Sheffield from the Chesterfield. I could see all of the police cars across the central reservation. It was no car crash as far as I could see. There must have been 20 police cars there, no exaggeration, and others still arriving.
It looked to me more like they were sealing off that dodgy looking estate behind the hotel. I have never seen so many police cars attending an incident that wasn't a riot, or something as serious.

Looking at the time of the original posting, which seems to rule out craigmason's idea, seeing as most of the low life's will be out burgling at that time, or twocing a car ready for the night's burgling. :suspect:
