Anyone got any different ideas for Friday night entertainment? We've done the cinema already this week and don't fancy going out drinking. Bowling also isn't an option because my other half used to work in a bowling alley and is all bowled out for the rest of her life methinks. :D
Any original ideas? Serious suggestions only please. :)
Go out for Noodles or Sushi on London Road!
I have this problem quite a lot, in a city this size there should be loads to do!
How about:
Ice Skating
Theatre (probably get cheap stand by tickets)
Invite your mates over for drunken twister (did that last friday but it was NYE...)
Get the beers and the takeaways in and watch (and laugh) at Celeb Big Bro.
A dance mat for the pc, I bought one off ebay for a fiver, loadsa fun!
Nice massage?
A board game, over a G&T?
You could maybe cook something nice together?
get drunk to try and ignore how bad Shefield is for going out?

A place is often as good as you make it ?
agreed but you have very litle control on outsound influences around you.
let me be frank. I hate going into town on Friday/Sat night. Full of idiots. I know most places are like this but most cities have lots of places you can go to avoid idiots. There are a few in town but generally involve real ale and older people.
I go out straight from work for a few then go local. Much more pleasant.
Last time I walked up West st for a cab a saw:
Two 30+ year old men giving their friend and wedgy against a lampost.
2 lots of drunk girls fighting. one lot must have been all of 15.
lots of screaming women running between the Cavendish and Varsity falling over and banging on passing cars.
several people being sick.
complete atmosphere is bad bad bad. West Street is on of the safer places to be as well!!!!!
I wonder if that was the same night I was last in town Robbie? I was trying to flag a taxi down on west street pretty early in the night (about 9pm) and it was a similar scene. I felt really uncomfortable :-(
