Try putting "insurance wedding catering" into Google and you'll get about half a million pages back.

I know a good event management company that could take care of this for you!!!
Seriously, by using a company such as ourselves you benefit in many ways;
You pay only one bill
You have someone do the initial shopping around for you
You have someone to deal with all of the little "hiccups" on your behalf
If any suppliers do go out of business, the liability is with us to replace them
We have a standard insurance policy that covers these little eventualities
You get an expert in the field to take care of it all for you.
Yes, you have to pay us a fee, but we do negotiate preferential rates with our suppliers menaing that our services become effectively free of charge or very cheap at least and how much does peace of mind cost???
Call me if you want to know more...

Stuff the wedding blow the cash on beer and loose women (or Men) before the sexists start on at me.
Or if they are determined to book and pay up front using esatblished comapnies who provide written booking confirmations and contracts are probabbly the best bet as your friend could possibly then take out an events policy. Most good insurance brokers will find you a policy to fit your needs.
All bookings we take for DJs are accompanied with written guarantees, confiramtions and a money back guarantee, which over the last 22 years has never been used.
