Just a guess...
Longest?Sandygate Grange Drive
Shortest?Oak St.
Can anyone do better?

Stumperlowe Crescent Road may be the longest and as for the shortest it depends if you shorten the end to St or La

Oak Street is longer than Ben Lane for example.

Get pouring over that A-Z on a rainy day!

Nice!

I had the A-Z out but would never have found that.

Some really thoughtful suggestions from Forum members -thanks
-I like the M1 suggestion -although I think it ought to be M1 motorway!
The A and B roads at the Hallamshire go up to Tree Root Walk
which seems to have disappeared.
Daftest named street must be Flat St - if you have ever lugged a suitcase up it you'll know why.

Now we've had the names, what are the longest and shortest roads - in physical length?

I nominate Coo Hill in Woodhouse, it must be all of 15 feet long.

Wouldn't that be saying the same as "Motorway 1 motorway"?

But Totley Lane leading to Ox Close Avenue are two separate roads not the name of one road just because its on a sign!! :)
