I downloaded a RM file and i don't know how to open it... can anyone help?:help:

.rm is usually a Real Player file...

Or just get VLC....it's free and no need to install codecs.

sorted it now. already got vlc does not play the rm file i downloaded for some reason. i used real player in the end it was only an episode so its sound.

i prefer the klite mega codecs pack which includes codecs for real player and quicktime files, AND media player classic which plays em fine :D

You could try installing Mplayer/SMPlayer (http://mulder.dummwiedeutsch.de/home/?page=projects#mplayer) (but don't use an IE-based browser to go there :hihi:). I came across this one just today and it looks good so far - VLC may be on its way out :roll:
