Well you can tell it's September, inconsiderate people have started letting them off. It's like this every year now. Scares my pets whitless. I'm sick of it. What's happened to just having them on Bonfire night

It's like this every year now. Scares my pets whitless. I'm sick of it. What's happened to just having them on Bonfire night  I agree loopylass. I am sick of the people setting them off all the time, i have a neighbour who decides to start his parties at around 10pm and then sits there all night setting off fireworks and throwing his empty lager bottles in the Greenbelt behind us, whilst playing LOUD music and shouting like drunken idiots do. I have two cats who have to be locked in at night and two kids who would like some sleep. Also how long will it be until we hear on the news about someone "Blowing Up" a post box or telephone box. The original tradition for fireworks night was to "Burn" an effigy of Guy Fawks (On november the 5th), then later on Fireworks were added. 90% of fireworks that you hear in the day and night are set of by Lowlife ASBO's who need to get a life (to quote newvanman) not the respectable people who are trying to live an honest and quiet life. I am sure that most of the people who thinks its ok would have something to say about it if one of their loved ones got injured. Also why now do people have to set them off at weddings, birthdays, Anniversarys & Newyears..... I thought we were in England / Great Britain, NOT China. Tess 06-09-2007, 12:51 obviously people want to celebrate the attempted blowing of parliament much more these days. lol i wonder why..:hihi: tom3t0 06-09-2007, 13:00 I agree loopylass. I am sick of the people setting them off all the time, i have a neighbour who decides to start his parties at around 10pm and then sits there all night setting off fireworks and throwing his empty lager bottles in the Greenbelt behind us, whilst playing LOUD music and shouting like drunken idiots do. It's like this every year now. Scares my pets whitless. I'm sick of it. What's happened to just having them on Bonfire night  I really hate them too especially because of pets. I used to have to give my dog tranquilisers because he was petrified of the bl**dy fireworks. Sadly my dog is doggie heaven now. They do seem to get earlier & earlier and louder & louder every year. Some of them even shake the house. Waffer 06-09-2007, 15:16 Well.... Merry Christmas to you all.... and a happy New Year.... Wahayyyy the holidays are back Freebird 06-09-2007, 20:20 Fireworks already ! Ghostrider 06-09-2007, 21:13 Not doing bad matey, hows life with you and the other half ? BenB2k 06-09-2007, 23:29 i thought the letting off of fireworks randomly was to let all the druggies know theres new batches of drugs in ready for collection??? *_ash_* 07-09-2007, 00:59 obviously people want to celebrate the attempted blowing of parliament much more these days. ahaha :hihi: like this post tom. On topic though, if people 'celebrated firework night' as earlier as shops 'celebrate Christmas' it would be far worse. |
