Hi, Folks. I need a leather / composite washer for an old car footpump which is a bit of a family heirloom. Wm Turner of Sheffield is the maker. I Googled for some information and came up with some archives from this site (not sure how old the thread was). There was some chat about the firm transmogriying into Pneumatic Components Ltd and moving to another site. Anybody got information which might be of use?

Hallo there , with regard to the Kismet pump , you will have to do it the hard way like me and make your own leather washers! I have bought and reconditioned several Kismet Duplex Master pumps . one in particular can now exceed 500 psi. Soon I take possession of a Kismet trolley compressor (1946), which is a very much larger affair , and am hoping for similar success.
It's all very worthwhile because the Kismet pumps are such well-made and good looking items from the days when British quality was supreme that it is a tribute to the long-defunct firm to get them back in action. Good luck with the task ( you will not find original washers for love nor money!). Cheers , Bill
